What year did you start CrossFitting?
Why did you get into fitness (and Crossfit)?
I grew up a competitive soccer player. An ankle injury ended my soccer "career" at 17. It wasn't until about 5 years later that I was convinced by a friend to give Crossfit a try. My first class was in February 2010 at Music City CrossFit in Nashville, TN. Three months later I moved to Atlanta to work as office manager at CrossFit North Atlanta. My love for the sport of fitness only grew from there. I've participated in the Open, trained with the CockDiesel games team and participate in the Atlanta Affiliate League.
CrossFit has been a game changer for me. It brings out my inner athlete. There is nothing more satisfying than working your ass off on a skill or movement, conquering it and then setting a new goal. I also love the community and have made friends with people I would never have crossed paths with if it weren't for CFNA.
Why did you become a trainer?
For the LuluLemon discount. Kidding...but it doesn't hurt.
After 3 years of learning and growing as a CrossFit athlete, I wanted to dive deeper and learn as much as I could. I wanted to better my craft but, mostly, I wanted to be able to help those around me become better as well.
