In the CrossFit news category, many of you who have participated in the Fight Gone Bad fundraiser events in the past may receive an email from the company that ran the past events, Sports Grants.  I did.  Please be advised that Sports Grants are no longer affiliated with CrossFit in any way.  In fact, Sports Grants & CrossFit are in litigation.  Sports Grants has applied to trademark "Fight Gone Bad," claiming that they invented it and had first use of it in the summer of 2006.  That is a damned lie because we did Fight Gone Bad at my 1st CrossFit seminar in 2005, and back then it was already an oft used CrossFit benchmark workout.  So put that Sports Grant email in the trash folder.

U.S. Marine Corps Sergeant Joshua Desforges, 23, of Ludlow, Massachusetts, assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, based in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, was killed on May 12, 2010, while supporting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan. He is survived by his parents David and Arlene, and his loving sister Janelle.
